Business Case Challenge – Common Joint Development Opportunity

We are proud to announce that Aluflexpack Group is one of the partners of Vienna University of Economics and Business for this year’s Business Case Challengeon the theme “Sustainability and circular economy”!

As part of this project, students solve real life challengesto exercise their current skills, integrating theory into practicetackle real business problems, experience decision-making in real-time projects, and develop their creativity and critical thinking.

Sustainability remains a guiding principle of Aluflexpack’s corporate strategy and business model. As a producer of flexible packaging, supplying products to many leading companies around the world in various industry segments, Aluflexpack is aware of its responsibility and its economic, social and environmental impact.

Every day, Aluflexpack’s products come into direct contact with food, medicine or personal care products – with the main objective to protect these assets in the best possible way to preserve nutritional value, taste and quality for consumers and to avoid waste.

We continue with dedication to work on the production the best products with the lowest possible use of resources through product development (e.g., footprint reduction, mono-materials, recycled content products), responsible sourcing, waste management, infrastructure superiority and digitization of business operations, so ensure resource efficiency, cost optimization and carbon footprint reduction.

Energy efficiency is recognized as the key lever in creating a low carbon economy. We choose to use energy from renewable sources in our production wherever possible – five eight of our production sites use only green energy. We optimize our production to decrease energy consumption levels and avoid energy waste.
