Tokyo, Japan – INPEX COMPANY(INPEX) announced today that it has formulated its “Long-Term Strategy and Mid-Term Business Plan” (hereafter “INPEX Vision @2022”).

In May 2018, INPEX formulated its “Vision 2040” and its “Medium-Term Business Plan 2018-2022″. In January 2021, the company announced its “Business Development Strategy – Towards a Net Zero Carbon Society by 2050″, outlining its climate change response goals and business strategies towards a net zero carbon society.

INPEX Vision @2022 presents INPEX’s long-term strategy towards 2030 and 2050 as well as the company’s medium-term business plan, which consists of specific objectives and roadmaps covering a period of three years from 2022 to 2024, reflecting the current management environment and social landscape, among other factors.

INPEX considers the various developments towards a zero-carbon society observed in Japan and around the world as new challenges as well as opportunities to further develop its activities. Based on INPEX Vision @2022, the company will proactively engage in energy structure reforms towards achieving a net-zero carbon society by 2050 while meeting the energy demands of the Japan and other countries around the world.
