MSMEs and industries need to evolve with business needs: Nagpur District Collector

Nagpur, March 2 (KNN) Nagpur District Collector R Vimala advised MSMEs and industries to change and adapt according to the changing needs and business environment for them to succeed.

She also assured the industries to address the various issues in the meeting with relevant departments and help them solve them during the 39th Founding Day of the MIDC Industries Association (MIA) Hingna.

Vimala commended the winners for their tireless efforts and the initiatives they have taken in emphasizing the sincerity and core principles of the winning industries.

“A common platform where government officials, industry and other stakeholders could meet at regular intervals and discuss issues and solutions to different issues is important,” she added.

Co-Director of Industries Nagpur, Ashok Dharmadhikari also congratulated the winners and said that MSMEs are doing a great job in employing so many people and keeping the cogs of the economy running despite the many challenges and especially after confinement.

Dharmadhikari emphasized the creation of industrial clusters which will greatly benefit local MSMEs.

He said several cases of pending payment had been successfully resolved during his tenure as chair of the MSME Facilitation Cell and also called on the associations to form a grievance committee so that members can benefit from it.

MIA President Hingna Chandrashekhar Shegaonkar welcomed the guests and congratulated them with a souvenir and a sapling. In his welcome speech, the President gave an overview of the MIDC Industries Association and all the activities carried out within the framework of it.

He also talked about the problems facing the MIDC Hingna Industrial Zone. The guests for their part assured to take up these questions. Every year, on the day of the foundation, MIA Hingna recognizes the success of a few exceptional industrialists by awarding them the “Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards”.

This year, the awards were given to Dr. Amanat Khokar, Managing Director of Megataj Agrovet Pvt. ltd. ; Amey Khanolkar, CEO of Savita Auto Industries; and Dr. Meghna Tidke, director of Aroma Herbs & Ayurvedic Industries Pvt. ltd.

The winners were congratulated by the guest of honour. In their keynote, the entrepreneurs spoke unambiguously about the hard work, determination, their fundamentals, etiquette, and inspiration that kept them and their business going despite the pandemic and post-coronavirus challenges. pandemic. Continuing the tradition, past MIA presidents were commended at the ceremony for their consistent and tireless efforts in developing a vibrant industry association. Due to health issues, many former presidents of MIA Hingna were unable to attend the program, but sent their best wishes.
