Obayashi Corporation hereby announces that it has resolved the Obayashi Group’s 2022 mid-term business plan, “Strengthening business foundations and accelerating enterprise-wide transformation”, the five-year business beginning in fiscal year 2022, at its board meeting today.

As announced in a press release on November 8, 2021, the objectives for the final year of the Obayashi Group’s 2017 medium-term business plan ending in 2021 are not expected to be achieved, mainly due to a loss related to national construction projects.

The Obayashi Group recently formulated the 2022 Obayashi Group Medium-Term Business Plan in the direction of its corporate philosophy of “contributing to the realization of a sustainable society”, taking into account changes in the global social situation. , the conditions of the national construction market, which is the Group’s core business, and the analysis of the causes of the deviation from the objectives set in the 2017 Medium-Term Business Plan.
